The Scorpions was the first international group to have items included in the Rock Walk Brazil - The Brazilian Rock Walk of Fame. Making most of their recent visit to Brazil, the band received the journalist who created the project, Marcio Mota (in the picture, with the band) and autographed some items, which will be included on the heap of the itinerant display.

The band members have autographed an Epiphine Casino guitar and a board of photos, besides leaving an inscription with a message dedicated to Brazilian musicians who were part of the national rock history: "Congratulations to Brazilian Rockers of RockWalk Brasil - Scorpions".

The itinerant exhibition of the Brazilian Rock Walk Of Fame is opened for visits in Santana Parque Shopping Mall, north of São Paulo.

That's it! The traditional magazine CARAS that publishes news about celebrities' lives in Brazil and worldwide, was present at the Rudolf´s birthday party, which took place at the home of a business man, Julio Pignatari.

The renowned guitarist Andreas Rudolf Kisser is Paulista from São Bernardo do Campo, rooter of São Paulo Futebol Clube and will be one of the special guests for the eletric-acustic tour that will begin soon.

At the beginning of 1987, he joined SEPULTURA, moving to Belo Horizonte and starting a unique career in Brazilian music's history. Along with Max Cavalera, Igor Cavalera and Paulo Jr., they conquered the world, traveling the four edges, revealing Brazilian music through hard songs.

Born in Salvador, Bahia (Brazil), in 1974, Mikael Mutti is a Pianist, guitar player, percussionist, arranger and musical producer. He started to study music by himself, when he was 12, and when he was 16 years old he started to play professionally. At age 19, started to work with professional recordings, and at age 22 started as an arranger at the most important recording studio in his city at the time, where he composed for radio and TV publicity. Since then, he plays with important Brazilian artists at great international music festivals around the world.

Currently he is the musical director of the artist Carlinhos Brown, playing frequently on United States and Europe. Mikael also has his own recording studio, where he produces for great artists. His arrangements sound like fusion with Brazilian percussion roots and besides studying digital music production, he dedicates himself to the study of improvisation.

On an exclusive interview to Scorpions Brazil, Mutti spoke of his participation in the Latin America Tour with Scorpions.

SCORPIONS guitarist Rudolf Schenker was in Athens, Greece on July 17th to promote PYRONALE 2008, a fancy show with pyrotechnics.
Schenker is the president of the committee, which will judge the participants.

"Colors in the Sky" will take place October 4th at the Eastern Airport at Elliniko, when Rudolf Schenker will visit Greece again.

Rudolf also revealed that Scorpions will visit Greece for a concert, since they decided to take a break this year after four consecutive shows.

It’s a very common doubt among the newest fans of the band, or even for those who are fans for a long time, not to know the origins of one of the most remarkable covers of the Scorpions’ discography, Blackout’s cover.

Since its release in vinyl, 1982, the cover catches a lot of attention for being distinguished of everything the band has shown on their other albums until that moment.

It’s important to remember that the band has already released very polemic covers, when the arts of the albums Virgin Killer and Taken By Force were censured on the 70’s.

The main doubt about Blackout’s cover is who is the “freaky” character with forks as glasses, a bandage on his head and an agonizing scream expression.

The first impression, mainly for those who watch the video clip No One Like You - where who is dressed as the freaky character at the album cover is the guitarist Rudolf Schenker, - is that in the cover it would be Rudolf too.
They even have some similarity, but we just need to pay more attention to the image to realize that it’s not Rudolf but another person…

Acording to the website Pará Folia, the tickets' prices will be R$80,00 (promotional for students) and R$160,00 (normal price).

The tickets will be sold at Central Iguatemi, Castanheira and Central Motos.

The Chevrolet Hall website has announced the tickets price for the Scorpions concert in Recite which will happens on September 7th, 9:00 PM.

To buy promotional tickets for students, teachers or ederly people, it's necessary to show the requested documents at the moment of the purchase.

Top Link Music has just confirmed one more presentation of the band Scorpions in Brazil. The concert will be held in Ponta Grossa/PR on Sept. 12th, at the city's Events Center (Centro de Eventos).

The city, which is located 121km (75 miles) away from the capital Curitiba, is populated with 310.000 inhabitants and has the largest industrial district of the State of Paraná, currently having over 50 industries.
Every year in November, the Events Center holds the München Fest - The National Dark Draft Beer Festival, a festival in German style held since 1990 and that receives visitors from all over the country.

Last Tuesday another city was confirmed for the Scorpions Acoustic Tour in Brazil this year.

After 11 years, the band will comeback to Belo Horizonte to make a concert at Ginásio do Mineirinho, the same stage where they played in November 16, 1997. That time the band was promoting the album Pure Instinct and they shared the stage with enshrined artists like Dio, Bruce Dickson and Jason Bonham.

The concert will happen at capital of Minas Gerais in September 10, Wednesday.

Along the months February and March, through a poll at the oficial Scorpions website, the band gave to the russian fans the chance of voting for the russian set-list.
The russian tour will pass through 12 cities and the first one was happened in Saint Petesburg, april 10.

For the second year in a row, the german band will perfom in Recife.

The concert will happen in september 7 (Brazil's independence day holiday) at Chevrolet Hall, the same stage they played in august last year.

A song of the album "Humanity – Hour I" is part of the soubd track of a Brazilian Soap Opera, it is called "Caminhos do Coração" (The Heart's Ways), produced by Rede Record. The song we're talking about is the great "The Game of Life".

The Soap Opera tells the history of Maria (Bianca Ranaldi) who tries to get rid of a false acusation of a murder. Which makes peculiar the synopsis is the presence of super-powerful and mutant people as pricipal characters of the history.

Other Scorpions songs were part of other Sound Tracks, like "Under the Same Sun" which has made a big success at the Soap Opera "Sonho Meu" produced by Rede Globo in 1993/1994.

After a long waiting, the Brazilian fans finally can get the DVD "Scorpions Live At Wacken Open Air 2006: A Night to Remember - A Journey Through Time" since it is already released in Brazil.

Almost 11 years ago, during the Pure Instinct tour, The Scorpions permormed on Programa Livre, in november 14, 1997, one day before their concert at Skol Rock, in São Paulo. All throught the relaxed performance, the band answered to the audience´s questions and played 5 songs: Loving You Sunday Morning, Rock You Like a Hurricane, Big City Nights, Wild Child and Still Loving You, and also, they made a little trip on time, back to 1994, when they performed on the same TV show.

According the announcement published today at the newspaper Diário do Amazonas, the Scorpions will be back to Manaus in september 5. This will be the second time the band will perform at the city, they went to the capital of Amazonas last year, in agust 9 for a historical concert with the Greenpeace support.
The show was transmited live for the whole stare of Amazonas and probably will be released in DVD.

In the article, Adriano Gobeth, one of the partners of Biribá Produções, talk about the Brazilian artists that could to participate of the concerts and also about other cities that could be included at this tour Acoustica part 2:

"We still don't know the name of the artists invited for this second Brazilian tour that is going to happen after a bit more than one year since the last one. [...] In this tour they should pass through several cities of Brazil like São Paulo, Recife, Goiânia and more."

Acording the announcement published on Sony BMG Brasil Website, the DVD "Scorpions Live At Wacken Open Air 2006: A Night to Remember - A Journey Through Time" will be released in Brazil in February 2008.

The presentation recoded at the festival Wacken Open Air in august 2006 has a set-list with 26 tracks and the special participations of Uli Jon Roth (guitarrist of the band since 1974 till 1978), Michael Schenker (lead guitarrist of the band in 1972 and 1979), his son Tyson Schenker and Herman Rarebell (drummer od the band since 1977 til 1995).

The DVD was released already last year in Europe, December 7. The United States release is predicted to next January 08.

Scorpions will be back to Brazil, we're waiting for them in September, about one year after their last visit in 2007, when they had a tour in São Paulo, Recife and Manaus. The DVD of Scorpions Live At Wacken Open Air 2006 was already released, check now some words from Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker about this historic concert that has joined three ex band members - Uli Jon Roth, Herman Rarebell & Michael Schenker.

In an inquiry made by the UOL music Brazi site, the Scorpions concert were elected by the website visitors, as the 5th best International concerts in Brazil in 2007, among 30 participants.

At the end of votation, the band went from 9th to 5th position, letting behind the presentations of High School Musical, Artic Monkeys, Simple Plan and Coldplay.

The concert of the German band was behind only of Evanescense, Roger Waters, The Police reunion and of the legendary group Aerosmith.

BW&BK "Metal" Tim Henderson spoke to SCORPIONS guitar legend Rudolf Schenker recently about a number of topics including their current album, Humanity - Hour 1 and the new Wacken live DVD (Live At Wacken Open Air 2006: A Night To Remember - A Journey Through Time) that is out now in Europe. BW&BK also enquired about the relationship between the Schenker brothers - the older Rudolf and younger Michael (MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, ex-UFO, Scorpions). Michael (MSG) opened up for the Scorpions this past July in the UK.


What was it like sharing a stage with your brother again?

"Really it was a bit difficult," the older Schenker (by seven years) explains. "My brother was not in the best shape. He was on an American tour and one of his managers left with the money including the money he'd earned from the UK shows. So he was sitting there and he had to give his musicians and crew money out of his own pocket so they could get back to Europe. He was stuck in the US and didn't know what to do. Maybe he got into the alcohol too much ... he didn't want to disappoint me by not being on the UK tour with us. He was really in bad shape and it was really sad to see that. The last show was in London OK, but the first show was terrible. But he had no roadies to help him. I just got an email from him and he's now back to normal and he's trying to find his way now. It's terrible, but what can you do? ULI (JON ROTH - also on the UK bill) was as good as always. He's very stable and a master of his guitar. He enjoys playing with the Scorpions much more now than when he did in the '70s! He's very happy when we play together now."

What's your relationship with Michael like these days?

"For the last two years he was living very close to me in the US, now he lives in London. We are close, but because we're both travelling a lot, it was difficult to meet. But his life is like a roller coaster - we are really close in different ways. I do whatever I can do to enjoy life. It's very difficult to find a balance between being a rock n' roll musician and being a normal person. I try to enjoy everyday more and more. Live today, not yesterday or tomorrow."

Long-time fans have yearned to see Michael and Uli Jon Roth appear on a new Scorpions album some day?

"Uli and my brother were supposed to be on the Humanity - Hour 1 album," Schenker reveals, "but the timing again was terrible. When we were in Los Angeles, Michael was in Japan. And Uli was in the process of giving his new album to his record company. My philosophy is is that when the time is right it will happen. Everyone is open to the idea."

Jyri Vahvanen (Battlelore — ex-Khert-Neter — Horna) and the guitarist/vocalist of Gamma Ray, and ex member of Helloween, Kai Hansen have putted the disc of the German band among the best ones.

The guitarist of Scorpions, Rudolf Schenker, has also participated. He has chosen My Winter Storm (Tarja Turunen), Minutes To Midnigth (Linkin Park) & Side Of A Bullet (Nickelback) as the best albums of 2007.

At December 08, the Scorpions has made a presentation in Basel, Switzerland, to open a boxing fight. The Band has played "The Game of Life" of their last released album — "Humanity Hour I".

At the ring, were fighting Arthur Abrahams (known as King Arthur, fan and friend of the Scorpions) and Wayne Elcock.
It seems that the song and the band gave lucky to Abrahams, who was the winner without dificultly.

According to "The Shangai Express" more than 40 thousand people went to the show of the Scorpions in Shillong, India, last wednesday, december 12.

The stadium, that has capacity to 40.000 people, was completely fulfilled by the crowd, and all those people who couldn't buy tickets have watched the concert from the outside of the stadium, at leats the could to heard the sound, that's because the sound potence has reached almost 110 decibels.

Amazed with all enthusiasm of the Indian fans, the guitarist Rudolf Schenker said before the concert: "It's impressive to trip to a city that has rised among the Himalaya mountains and to get all this receptivity"

The access to the show's place was composed by four security rings.
The fans could come into the stadium by 2 access, composed by 6 channels.

More than 35% of the crowd has said they came from Assan to Shillong, just for the Scorpions concert, and more than 3.500 tickets has been sold in Kotalka.

Called by the promoters as "a concert of Monsters of Rock", the Scorpions concert was a spetacle of sound and light, with more than 50 tonnes of equipments, big screens and boardings beyond of 80 thousand micro lamps.

The wished DVD of Scorpions Live At Wacken Open Air 2006 - A Night to Remember: A Journey Through Time was released in Europe at december 07.

The presentation recoded at the festival Wacken Open Air in august 2006 has a set-list with 26 tracks and the special participations of Uli Jon Roth (guitarrist of the band since 1974 till 1978), Michael Schenker (lead guitarrist of the band in 1972 and 1979), his son Tyson Schenker and Herman Rarebell (drummer od the band since 1977 til 1995).

Almost four months ago, Scorpions has made a historical concert in Manaus.
The presetation of august 9 will be released in DVD, and its sale will help projects of ambiental preservation.

During their hosting at the capital of Amazonas, the band received the press to an interview at the Tropical Manaus Hotel.

Duing the show in Clermont Ferrand, France, the guitarrist Rudolf Schenker has suffered an accidend hurting his foot. He's let a message to the fans at the official website:

"Dear fans, during our show last Friday (November 30) in Clermont Ferrand, France I tore a muscle in my foot. Therefore, I was forced to play the rest of the performance in just one area of the stage. To cancel that concert or to cancel any upcoming performances would disappoint the fans so that was out of the question. I hope that all the fans will understand that I will not be able to exhibit my full stage energy until my injury heals. I have consulted with Germany's best sports medicine physician and I am receiving the best treatment. I look forward to the future shows where I am able to give my maximum stage performance. Until then, thank you for your continued support and see you in Portugal and India in the coming weeks."

The ex bass player of Scorpions - Francis Buchholz - has recently launched his new official website. Francis was part od the band Dawn Road - the same band of Uli Jon Roth - bofore to joining the Scorpions in 1974.

Francis was part of the Scorpions for 17 years, recording the albuns Fly To The Rainbow, Virgin Killer, Taken by Force, Lovedrive, Animal Magnestism, Blackout, Love at First Sting, Savage Amusement and Crazy World.

He has left the band at the beggining of 1992, after the end of the Crazy World Tour Live, and there are a lot of rumors about him leaving the band.
